The brief:
Southampton FC tasked us with launching the St Mary’s Stadium social channels, promoting the stadium as a location that extends beyond match days.
With a particular focus on The Dell, their newly launched pub, the objective was to help reposition the stadium as a vibrant, all-week venue for everyday moments, not just football fixtures.
Our solution:
Working closely with the Saints marketing team, we crafted lifestyle content and rolled out consistent messaging that would bring The Dell’s broader appeal to life, whilst also showcasing the hospitality spaces and special events.
The feeds involved a mix of food & drink social content, event promotion and showcasing the spaces on offer in an attractive manner.
Specific attention was on The Dell, demonstrating the entertainment house within the stadium, speaking directly to both fans and the wider local audience.
The result:
- Over 1,200 new followers gained in the first few months
- 685.4k views from a reach of 290.6k
- 6.2k+ accounts engaged
- Over 10k content interactions
This collaboration contributed to a broader narrative shift around St Mary’s, strengthening its presence as a community-driven venue.
The Dell is increasingly recognised as a destination in its own right - seeing increased footfall outside of match days, as well as a growth in revenue.
Whether it’s a bite to eat, a casual co-working spot, or a night out with live sport, The Dell has become a go-to space for fans and locals alike.
